About YelMail

Last updated

YelMail gives you a disposable email address in one click, so your real inbox stays private.

Why we built YelMail

Every sign-up form, free download and Wi-Fi portal asks for your email address, and many of them turn it into a stream of newsletters, trackers and spam. Once your address is out there, you cannot take it back.

YelMail lets you hand over an address that disappears when you are done with it. No sign-up, no personal details, no clean-up afterwards.

How it works

  1. Open yelmail.com, the browser extension or the mobile app. A new address is ready instantly.
  2. Use it wherever you do not want to share your real email.
  3. Messages appear live, with trackers blocked.
  4. When you are done, it expires on its own, along with every message in it.

What we stand for

  • Private by default. No account needed, and only the device that created an inbox can open it.
  • Nothing lingers. Emails and attachments are deleted automatically when they expire.
  • No tracking through email. Remote images and tracking pixels stay blocked until you choose to load them, and email scripts never run.
  • Receive-only. YelMail cannot send email, so it cannot be used to send spam.
  • Honest business model. The free inbox is paid for by ads. Premium removes them and adds custom addresses, premium domains, longer retention, forwarding and API access. We never sell your data.

Everywhere you sign up

  • Web: works in any modern browser, no install needed.
  • Browser extension: create and fill in an address without leaving the page.
  • iOS and Android apps: your inboxes in your pocket, with notifications for new mail.
  • Developer API: create inboxes and read mail from your tests and scripts. See the API documentation.
